Description

A blend of 19 species of nectar and pollen rich annual and perennial flowers, which are proven favourites of honey bees in our gardens. Our special selection provides forage over a long season making it an invaluable food source for bees. This colourful flower mix is perfect for those gardeners with their own honeybee hives, or those wishing to encourage bees into their gardens. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 30cm (12").

1 gram of seed sows an area of approximately 1 square metre.

Sowing

Direct sow wildflower seeds outdoors where they are to grow from March to May once the soil has warmed. Choose a position in full sun on well drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow seeds thinly, and rake lightly to cover the seed, or sow in at a depth of 1.5cm (&frac116;") in drills spaced 30cm (12") apart. Water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods. Germination usually takes 14-21 days. As seedlings germinate, carefully thin out any that are too close together with a trowel and replant elsewhere.

Water regularly until they are fully established. When growing wildflowers, deadhead faded blooms regularly to encourage more to be produced. This mix contains annuals and perennials. In autumn the perennials can be cut back to just above ground level to make way for new growth in the spring. Annuals may be left to set seed at the end of the season if more seedlings are required for the following year.

Returns

You can return an item to us for either exchange or refund within 21 days of receiving it, providing that the product is unused, and in the condition that it arrived in, including any packaging.
